Ethel!!!!
Ethel was my older sister. She was like a mother to us when we were young. I just returned Thursday from her funeral. It was a lovely funeral, (if I can say that). So many people there to show their love and respect for the family. Thank You!
I don't wish her back. I believe she is in a far better place. I believe she is with the Lord. She is in no pain, no hurting, no sadness. I believe she is really better in everyway.
I wish I had listened to her more, the stories, the history. I remember telling her, "Stop, no dwelling on the past." I did not want to hear about the good old days. I have so many wonderful memories, stories and thoughts. I still can't get them out of my head.
To the family at Green Ridge, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have over 100 cards and the food, how are we going to eat it all? The acts of kindness, the lovely words, the calls, I will not forget them. You have shown me what it means to be part of the family of God.
I thank you strong Christians who are there for the weak. I love Barnabas who is a great example of one who encourages. Acts 3:36, 11:25 and 15:37.
New Christians were not dipped and left to "drip dry". They were not abandoned. Instead they received special help. Acts 14:21 and 18:26.
We need to stir up one another in love and good works. Hebrews 10:24.
God Bless. See you Sunday.
Jack...........
